Silicon oil fan clutch, using silicon oil as the medium, using silicone oil shear bond torque transmission. The speed of the fan is designed under the condition that the engine is not overheated when the service condition is the worst. Therefore, when the vehicle is running normally, the speed of the fan should be controlled within an appropriate range, so as to reduce the noise and improve the economy of the engine.

For an engine driven fan, the fan clutch is usually used to control its speed. A viscous fluid (silicon oil) is enclosed in the clutch, and the torque is transmitted by its shear bond force. A bimetallic strip is installed in front of the fan, which is used to induce the air temperature through the radiator, thereby controlling the silicon oil in the working chamber of the fan, and only when necessary, can the torque be transmitted to rotate the fan.
