Every component in capacitor connects a fuse in series. When a component is punctured, the component connecting it in series will discharge and the fuse can be fused in a short time so that the fault component can be cut off to guarantee normal operation.
The discharging resistance can low down the residual voltage in the capacitor from √2 Un to 50V and below within 5min; The discharging coil can low down the residual voltage from √2Un to 50V and below within 5s.
It is complying with requirement of JB/T7112-2000 assembling HV Shunt Capacitor and DL/T628-1997 ordering technical condition of assembling HV shunt capacitor.
Structural features:
can divided into three-phase capacitor and two-phase capacitor. It also can be divided into fixed capacitor and adjustable capacitor according to capacitance.
Single-phase assembling HV shunt capacitor has two outgoing bushings or three. The former is used for opening triangle zero-sequence voltage protection and the latter is for differential protection.
Three-phase assembling HV shunt capacitor has 6 outgoing bushings, and one is at the first phase. Internal wiring method is III type and three phases are independent without connector.
Adjustable assembling HV shunt capacitor can be divided into equal capacitance (1/2+1/2)Qn and unequal capacitance (1/3+2/3)Qn. Among 7 outgoing bushings, one is for connecting Power Supply and other 6 bushings for connecting two sets of capacity and serial capacitors.
Assembling HV shunt capacitor consists of body, tank and outgoing bushing. The body is made of capacitor units in series or parallel. The component in capacitor unit is connected in parallel and connects to inner fuse in series.
The tank is filled with insulation cooling oil, transmitting the heat to outside through oil pipes in capacitor unit.
Protection 
Inner fuse in the capacitor can isolate the damaged component timely to keep safe and normal operation of capacitors.
Open delta zero sequence voltage protection and differential voltage protection design is based on the fact that the over voltage of complete component is no more than 1.2-1.5 times of rated voltage. The action time limit is 0.5s.
Maintenance
Before operation, firstly clean the bushings and electric connection parts. Regular clean work is needed to guarantee safe operation. Regular painting anti-corrosion treatment is needed.
During the operation, abnormal things like trip, alarm etc occurs and reasons should be find out before switching on.
Through cutting off the grid, capacitor's terminal should be earthed before touching conductive parts. Capacitor can't be put into service with 1min. after switching off.
